Who writes AQUILA?

Each issue of AQUILA is fact-checked and carefully written; a balanced and thoughtful collaboration with experts that might range from archaeologists to bestselling authors depending on the topic. Award-winning editor Freya Hardy keeps a watchful eye over the content (and sneaks in some cheeky comments, much to the amusement of the readers) ensuring that AQUILA is well-informed, original and accessible to all ages.

How is AQUILA different to other kid's magazines?

AQUILA aims higher than other children’s publications. Monthly topics are investigated in a multi-dimensional way, so science, culture, mystery and comedy may appear side-by-side on our pages as we strive to encourage children to be open-minded as well as self-motivated. The content is enjoyed by both children and adults, so puzzle-solving is often an family affair — and as children mature they will often go back again to their old AQUILA magazines and enjoy them again at a whole new level, appreciating the articles from a more mature, enlightened perspective.
