I know I am probably breaking the record but your magazines are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO awesome! My Favourite bits Are E.B, Over to you and Ian. Can you do an issue on cars
Please and i even designed the cover.
PS my brother Alex says hi
Hi Aquila I know every one says this but Aquila is AMAZING I got the subscription in December 2019 and I love love it. I love the ‘over to you’ pages lots but my favourite bit is Ian.The best issue I have got is discover dogs but the best animal is probably cat (no offence Pepe)My favourite film is Descendants. I can’t wait for the ‘what is art’ issue! BUT the big question is what are tardigrades?????????I mean I’ve seen lots of snippets about them, please can you make another issue about Microcosmos including tardigrades. This is my first time writing to you, hope you like the Japan manga picture ok so this is goodbye for now bye
Hi. I loooooove your mags! Unlike most people, I don’t like sports much (don’t show Kit), I’m more into Harvey and Calculata. I got 15 back issues, including the Harry Potter one. I noticed two things from it. If you mixed one at at certain point in the pH scale, would it become water? Also, on page 16 you spelled Calculata like c-a-l-c-u-l-a-t-o-r instead of c-a-l-c-u-l-a-t-a. One more thing: is faith from the September 2019 issue able to take a picture of the notes? That would be deeply appreciated, especially as I have access to a trumpet, piano, ukulele and violin. Bye.
P.S. I’m holding the amazon issue in the picture
Hi AQUILA, I really, really love reading your magazines because they are so full of facts! Although I have only been reading them since April 2020, I've already got favourites and they are: Dogs (May 2020) and Japan (June 2020). I really enjoy writing short stories, playing tennis and reading (I've got 75 books on my bookshelf!). I was also wondering if you could please make an issue on Coral Reefs?
PS. Below is a photo of me with all of the AQUILA's I've got so far.
PPS. I am also holding the Flapping-Mouth Fox from the Japan issue
PPPS. Here are 2 jokes:
Q) Why does the ocean roar?
A) You would too if you had crabs on your bottom!
Q) Where does Friday come before Wednesday?
A) In the dictionary!
This is my first time writing to you, and I hope this letter gets published in one of your amazing mags. My favourite mags are probably the Amazon and Japan editions. PLEASE do an issue on rodents (when I say rodents I mean please include hamsters) or sloths or birds! I have two Russian dwarf hamsters Nibbles and Squeak. During lockdown Squeak had his eye taken out, but he is fine now! I love Harry Potter! I'm a Griffindor! My favourite animal is a sloth. I really want to inspire kids to look after our planet and donate some money towards all the animals in danger.

p.s. I play the key board!
p.p.s. here is a riddle: there was a red house a yellow house a blue house and a purple house, what colour was the green house? It was see through!

P.S What did the snowman say to the other snowman? Can you smell carrots?
Although I haven't read it for long at all,I'm immediately struck by how interesting Aquila is. The amount I can learn in one magazine is off the charts! Aquila has something unique and special to it that makes it even better. I know this isn't a very long letter but you can tick another Aquila lover off. I like a lot of stuff but my three favourite things are: sports, reading, and animals. I know a lot of people would enjoy a sports issue so can you please make one? My Hogwarts house is Hufflepuff and my favourite fact (from my brother's old issues) is that humans are only 2 seconds of a day! Thanks for reading this letter,
Hi Aquila, I really like your magazine. My favourite hobbies are drumming, playing the guitar and going to Laser Quest. During the lockdown I have spent a lot of time playing my musical instruments and making up my own songs. I would like to see an issue on drumming including some of the women drummers who have been successful, because as a girl drummer there are very few role models. When I drum, I drum along to a music app called GarageBand. I would also like to see an issue on lasers, showing all the different things they are used for.
Hi Aquila, I love your magazines. I only just started since issue June 2020 to July 2020. Please can you do an issue about the environment, how plastic goes into the sea? From Léa age 8
My grandmother (GG) got me a subscription to Aquila and the Amazon edition was my second one that I received. My dad and I made the Paku-Paku Kitsune from the Japan edition and now we have made the Macaw mask. It was sooo fun! I hope you will print this so that my GG can see the creations that my dad and I have made. I love Aquila!!
I have just started getting Aquila and I loved the Japan issue! We had Oriental Day and I used chopsticks for dinner! I also painted cherry blossom and made an origami face. The Japanese writing by my elbow means "Life".
Hello Aquila, i love the amazon issue and i love panthers. Since i have a computer, i have been
working on the amazon ever since.
Q : what does 1 loose railing say to another
A: do you need a hand ?
This is my macaw mask and it is the first time I make something following your instructions (and all the other magazines I have ever had)
Hi Aquila, You're a great magazine and I was inspired by the wizard's castle in the Harry Potter issue (June 2017). Here is a picture of my younger brother Jonas and I with the finished castle. It was fun to make and the papier mache was very messy! My favourite issues are "Fakes and forgeries" (October 2019), "Fantastic Tales" (December 2019) and Japan (June 2020). I would love it if you made an issue about Lego. Bye... Edgar
My name is Antonn, I am 8.
My 2 brothers, my sister and I have just received our 1st Aquila magazine, and we already LOVE it!!!
My answer is: the puffin (answer B) is NOT found in the Amazon rainforest.
I love animals, would like to work to help them when I am grown up.
Thanks for your reports and a hug to Pépé (that's funny because it is the nickname of my great grandfather).
Looking forward to getting our next magazine and maybe be one of the winners.
I did the Extract DNA experiment in the Amazon issue (July 2020) and it was so fun! Here is a photo of me with the sieve, waiting for the liquid to come through. There is also another picture of how the DNA looked in the end (it’s all the white cloudy bit on top) and it was fascinating seeing how they all split into different parts. I used a big strawberry, as you can see, because the mixture is a pinky-red colour. I hope you all like it!
Oh, and I am really new to AQUILA. My parents bought me the gift subscription for my birthday last month, and I am loving it so far!
Shem, Jalani and Malakai
Our mum bought some back issues of your magazine so we have just enjoyed learning about the Vikings and making the bread. This picture is of the unleavened bread which we cooked in a pan. It was delicious. We are just waiting for the leavened bread to rise....

Hello AQUILA, I am Lenni. I have been wanting to write ever since I had my first AQUILA magazine, the January issue, ‘Evolution’ in 2020. After that, I didn’t notice I actually had the December issue! I loved reading it! I didn’t know you were
60% similar to a banana or fruit flies! I like the quizzes, they had me truly stumped! Ian is really weird by writing a story about being seasick, got pi mixed up with pie and ate Vlad’s Christmas dinner! I wrote my own magazine inspired by... YOU! I have some jokes to tell you!
Q: What’s a sheep’s favourite sport?
‘Be you, obviously!’
I hope you liked the jokes. My favourite issues are the Amazon (July/August, 2020), Happiness (February, 2020), Magic Maths (March, 2020), and Japan (June, 2020).
Love from Lenni
PS. Can you do an issue on music?
The answer to the Japan competition is C.Yen.
I should know as I was lucky enough to go to Japan 4 yrs ago. We had a great time and hope to go again in the future. Here is a photo of me enjoying the cherry blossom in Takada Park. My mum and dad lived in Japan for 4 years and really loved cherry blossom season.
Thank you for a great magazine - this was my first copy so I was really pleased it was about one of my favourite places!
I went to school and learnt Japanese but wasn’t very good and now I read your magazine I learnt a lot more. I read the Japanese magazine and l loved the mustache story. I love all your facts by the way.
Ok I know you have got this note a lot of time’s but I LOVE AQUILA ! It’s true.
I am 7 years old and I have only read one of your magazines and I love it already. I wish you could do one every week.
My favourite joke:
Why is 6 scared of 7?
Because 7 ate 9!
I am very fond of your mag and have been receiving it since January 2019. My fave issue is CAKE ( I got hungry just looking at it!) and I love the brain-feeders. Reading is my fave hobby and I have read the whole Harre Potter series twice! Please could you do an issue on coding? I have coded a whole website ( with my dad!) and loved it!
P.S. Ian you are sooooooo funny!
Hi, my name is Elisabeth, I really like the aquila magazines, I have made the paku-paku kitsune fox, it was really fun, my little sister loves it to. I have only started getting the magazines but I was wondering if you could do a "farm issue" I live on a farm, we have goats, dogs, chickens and cows. It is great and if you did a farm issue other kids could read about the great things that happen on a farm. I really liked the dogs issue. I love dogs 🐕. I love baking just today I baked chocolate chip cookies. I can't wait for the amazon issue, thanks for reading!!!!
Hi! My name is Archie and I really love your magazine (I’m saying it’s my favourite for two reasons: one, because it’s awesome. Two, because it’s pretty much the only magazine I read). I haven’t been getting them for long and I feel like I missed out on a lot, so I’m buying all of the 2018 & 2019 magazines in the shop. Also will the ones that aren’t in the shop (rocket science, money maths, game theory and real world maths) be in the shop at some point? Bye!
I really liked the Japan magazine you did. I really like doing manga after you showed me how to do it. Here is one of my characters that I made, her name is Ella and she is 15. I am a fan of the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. I started them over because I am waiting for eight point five to come out. I also like Doctor Who, and I am going to be her for Halloween. Thank you again for doing the Japan Magazine, I really liked it. Bye Aquila.
Hi Aquila, I did the instant noodles activity from the Japan issue and they tasted great! This is me and my little brother having a tasty lunch!

We celebrated Japanese day at our school Lowther Hall Anglican Grammar last year. As part of the celebrations we ordered traditional Japanese sushi and ate it with chopsticks and soy sauce. I got to wear my friend Rina's yukata summer kimono for the day. Her mother Yoko is from Japan. I got to choose the blue kimono with pink and yellow dots. Rina taught the class how to speak Japanese. It was really fun and we had a great day. I look forward to learning Japanese at school next year, in year 4.
I love your magazine so much. I have just received the June 2020 Japan issue and it's brilliant. I made the fox puppet straight away. In fact, I did not just make 1 fox, I also made tons more for my family too! I love doing AQUiLA art and have made some fox puppets, (I think I just told you that!), a book safe and a puppy love card. My favourite things to do are drawing, reading, writing stories and playing Roblox. My favourite issues of AQUiLA are Japan, June 2020 and Micro Cosmos, September 2019 I have been subscribed since May 2019 and I have lots of back issues. I am currently writing a “choose your own adventure” story inspired by Fantastic tales (December 2019). It's very fun. My favourite AQUiLA characters are Polly and Harvey. Also, you know how on the cover of AQUiLA you print it as AQUiLA. (well done to the AQUiLAnaut who noticed that). Why is it printed AQUILA when it appears inside the magazine? Well anyway that is all from me.
From your biggest fan, A

Hi Aquila! I have always LOVED your magazine. I was really happy when my Grandparents bought me Aquila at Christmas 2018. I also love origami and I am going to try the fox out in the Japan issue; June 2020 my Sister and my Mum have both done it and it is amazing! See if you can spot all 10 pieces of origami in this picture! My favourite issue so far has been Evolution January 2020. I really like Lego so maybe you could do an issue on that.
From Dilys age 9 & 3/4.

I have sent two photos, one of me holding the blocks and one of the food wrap.

P.s here's a joke: Q: What did the German policeman say to his belly?
A: "You are under a vest!"
I like how you have a lot of ideas in your magazine, I have only recently started reading it. I like the illustrations too. I really loved the Japanese edition of Aquila, now I can draw Manga eyes!

Hi Aquila! You have probably heard loads of people say this but you are my lifesaver in these tricky times! I have been doing an around the world project during lockdown were I choose a country, do some research on it and then make a meal based on the food they eat there! I was thrilled when I got the Japan issue and used loads of pictures and information from it! We had ramen noodles and rainbow veggie rolls for our tea. It was delicious and I learnt how to use chopsticks for the first time!
When I got my first Aquila, my friend told me that I had missed the Harry Potter issue! I was really upset because I am a Harry Potter superfan! I would really like it if you did an issue on mythical creatures like mermaids, unicorns and dragons.
Hi AQUILA. I love receiving your magazine. I made paku-paku kitsune! I named my 🦊 foxy. It was fun to make!
Daisy, age 8 absolutely loves foxes, so was mega excited when she saw the Paku-Paku Kitsune origami. She made an orange vixen and male Arctic fox.
Pictures attached with one wearing her 🦊 dressing gown!

Hi AQUILA! I love your magazines so much! My favourite issues are Discover Dogs (May 2020) and Detectives (October 2018) Please may you do an issue on Africa? Because at the moment for school (at home) I have a project on Africa. It's a grid with lots of activities to do about Africa. Here is a picture of a model of Victoria Falls (the biggest water fall in the world, and it's in Africa). I thought you might be interested in it, I hope you like it. It is made of rocks from the beach and a hot glue gun for water and to stick it all together, with a plastic container (reused, because every little reused item helps the worlds eco system) for the base. Also there is an image of what I think the cover of an AQUILA magazine on Africa should look like! I hope you like it.
Hi Aquila i loved your April 2020 issue on Earth. I love learning about science and history. I was wondering if you could do an issue on ancient civilisations. I particularly love learning about the ancient Egyptians, I used to live in Egypt and have been inside the great pyramid of Giza! I have also been to the Cairo museum and seen the original king tuts mask! and would also love if you could include some asian culture because I have also lived in Thailand (the Ancient temples are amazing!) Hi there Aquila!
My brother and I decided to do the origami foxes from the Japan (June 2020) issue. It was really fun! (See photo.)
Also, I was really happy that you did a Japan Issue because I LOVE JAPAN!!! I used to have a part of my room dedicated to Japan, but 3 year-old brother happened. I also love Studio Ghibli, which is a Japanese film company. Shout out to fellow Aquilanaut Tim Jones!
I've already read my new issue three times! Can you please do an issue on the Periodic Table? Also I love your magazines, they are AWESOME! I got the Book of Big Science Ideas for my birthday too - I love it! Thanks! Isabella, New Zealand.
hello Aquila and fellow Aquila-NAUTS
From the 1st June to 30th of June i took part in the 30 days of wild challenge, a challenge set by the wildlife trust. It involves doing a nature based activity everyday for the whole of June. one of the activities to do is make a nature themed cake and I thought that it would be thoroughly exciting, and guess what ... I was right. it made me so happy to see my thoughts and ideas come to life in the form of a cake! I hope you like it as much as I do.
But Im not just writing to show you my cake I'm also writing to tell you about my latest creation, Agatha pebbles and Effie smith. Agatha pebbles and Effie smith are the main characters in my latest novel (I haven't quite thought of a name yet). The book is about two girls (Agatha and Effie) who are pupils at William white school for girls in England, they live pretty boring lives, until one day Agatha receives a letter saying that her father will not be able to look after her the upcoming holiday and
I am called Charlie Taylor and I am writing to say how much I love your magazines. I was so excited for your next issue when I read that it would be all about the Amazon. I have been learning about the Amazon rainforest and also the endangered animals at school so I already know some things but I can't wait to find out more. I have included a picture I have done of a Monkey, I hope that you can publish this as part of the rainforest issue.
Please can you do a issue on endangered animals and how to help them.
Thank you for taking your time reading this letter.
